Fluid (water)-driven volumetric injectors work on the principle of proportional positive displacement, ensuring that just the right amount of chemical is injected, regardless of pressure and flow, into the water flow.
Unlike traditional electric pumps, volumetric injectors eliminate the need for electricity and can operate in remote areas. Approximately the same volume of fluid is required to move the motor piston back to the starting position. A suction mechanism is attached to the motor piston which draws a preset amount (lower end setting) of chemical up, out of an open container, into a pressurized fluid system.
The last configuration is the diaphragm motor. In this design fluid enters the upper of two chambers within the motor body. The chamber fills until the pressure is sufficient to push down onto a diaphragm, thereby opening a valve and diverting the water flow into the lower chamber. This chamber fills in turn, pushing the diaphragm back up and completing one cycle. The chemical is sucked through the pump fitted to the base of the motor by the movement of the diaphragm and injected the water flow after the motor, thanks to a bypass tube.
