No actual ties to anyone, but my mother has her own brand and equine and I am a former equine owner in my juvenile years, registered in the AQHA, but not recognized due to the time of registration to my name and it being in years when I was under the age of 18. I have ridden several of the equine my mother and father has either purchase, birthed from existing stock and/or been given as a gift or project, but I have not owned any equine in my name since I was 21. There may also be a factoid I was unaware of that since I was underage, I was not given the rite to own and the papers were shipped to my mother in her name or that she has sought to claim I should not have had an ability to own and therefore that no such ownership ever existed in my name.
My mother's brand is the 'Double C Ba ...r', it has one C face down, with another C face up and the edge in the middle of the downturned C with a bar underneath the upturned C.
I do not know all of her business ventures, but I am joining this website to further understand topics directed at me as a former and family trainer/consultant/exerciser due to questions being directed at me by people who are around her more than I am.
I went to a event this weekend at the 'Lehman' and 'Clark' ranches some forty miles south of Mabton, WA to help gather and drive cattle on and with my mother's mare and my mother and she didn't like me riding her mare or the fact that I was willing to move cattle, as she usually uses them for barrel racing.
I was trained by 'Jack Adams' of Kennewick, WA/Finley, WA in riening and cutting and also worked for him a summer as a teen helping him train and break horses he had been hired to work but was too sore and older to want to ride and apparently one of the mares I trained won a NFR barrel racing title ridden by 'Rene Rucker' a couple years later. I didn't know that until I was like 23, but in that time of me being away from home, it may have become a topic that caused many battles among the crowd my mother hangs out with and I didn't know that.
There is a grey mare my mother says she owns now, that resembles a former equine of 'Cody Ohl', roper and as she has been continually competing in pro-barrel events since my departure and absences from the equine world, not only is her brand on the mare, but the double diamond brand is on the front mount shoulder. This is the mare I used to gather cattle with. My mother rode her palomino mare, a great grandaughter out of her mare 'Awesome Effort' who died years ago, but my mother claims she hasn't turned the deceased paper acknowledgment in for. I asked her if she would and she said, 'No, it is my own momento.' I don't understand that or agree with it, as it throws all the record keeping off.
Thanks for your website, I hope it helps both me and you know more about brands and/or lack of brands that should or shouldn't be. Read more
